We ventured downtown Dallas to the Dallas World Aquarium. It was an interesting layout. It was long switch backs that caused people to back up when anything was of interest. The worst was the Sea Otters which caused a large back up. The adults had a hard time thinking about egress and emergency as all these people were packed in a long line within the aquarium. There were lots of animals (not just fish) which seems to be a trend in aquarium's in Texas. Highlights would be the Sloth, Manatee, Sawshark and the penguins. There were lots of people and difficult lighting to take lots of photos.
We caught the "sloth's for kids show" which T was very disappointed as the Sloth didn't want to get out of its den...
As we were leaving the aquarium, the line was really long to get it... adults were like that was great timing as well as it was starting to rain. We got into the car, and off to Deny's we went. The sky got darker and the rain came down heavier as we traveled about 20 minutes away from downtown. We got to Denny's ran into the restaurant, and watched it downpour from the window.

We had fun drawing Manatees and looking at the sea animals on the kids menu. Lunch was good. We headed back to the hotel for nap. MBMell still wasn't feeling very well but made it to the hotel to join B and T in their nap. Eventually DD and AA had a nap too. Lola had starbucks and enjoyed some golf. The weather cleared up, and we don't think the Tesla got any Hail.... it sure rained hard, and there were tornado and flash flood warnings.
Kids woke up, and we headed to the water park. Lazy River, Wave pool were done together, and then we split up, T went to the "play pool" to climb across the ropes and try and get a basketball with DD, while the rest of us got the double tubes and headed to the water slide. AA and Lola did the green one that was like a sink drain, while MBMell and B did the Yellow and then green one. We all had a great time.
We cleaned up and headed to the buffet for supper.
The selection was really good, and the food was excellent too. Lola enjoyed 2 starches, some salad, 2 meats and lots of olives. Everyone else had a variety of food, ending with the all famous dessert. Glad B got some cheesecake and ate it all. Oh and MBMell had a piece too, but said it was missing some strawberry sauces.
T said he wasn't feeling well, so headed back to the room with DD while B finished her dessert. We had a quick stop at the end of Story time to enjoy Wiley Wolf and his helper read the story. Kids got ready for bed quickly and in bed just before 9pm.

Bedtime didn't go super well tonight, not sure why, but ended up at about 10:30 pm MBMell had stay in the same room as T, while B moved to AA and Lola's bed. (where she had a nap in the day time). I think this was her plan the whole time.... she really wanted to sleep with us. See if she gets moved before we go to bed.
DD, AA and Lola played 2 games of ticket to Ride. First Game DD completed a total of 1 train, having at least 4 train cards in his hand.... he didn't even get to 50 points at the end of the game. Lola on the other hand had 148 points.... exactly 100 points more than DD. AA won the second game, but it was much closer.

Now it is almost time for bed. Tomorrow we plan on hanging at the Great Wolf Lodge all day. We will see how it goes since the kids will have less sleep.
