#WDW2017 - Day 10 at Animal Kingdom (final full day)

Well despite Devin changing his original travel plans to stay until Wednesday, he was sick in bed most of the day so he didn't get to go to our last day at Disney World.  Today we went to Animal Kingdom.

Loaded the kids into the van and a little U-turn and back to the wonderful world of Disney we arrived.

Got out of the van and into the parking transportation.  Half way through the ride, Lola realized she is missing her Magic Band... This is because we were going to wait for the next set of cars, but instead the lady told us to get on the back, we rushed, quickly took the kids out and bingo.... band is lost.  Lola was crushed, it even says her name on it. Back to information to get a new band (we knew it was possible, as DD lost his a couple days in as well).  Once we got to a complete stop, we looked around and wonderful things happened, the band was stuck on the stroller that AA was carrying!  It made Lola's Valentines day!  Back on her wrist it went and into the gates we travelled!

First stop... It's Tough to be a Bug. Lots of kids were scared in this 4D show, but not the twinkies, they really enjoyed it! It was a good experience.

Tried to go on Expedition Everest, but it was closed for technical issues.... onto the next thing.

TriceraTop Spin was next, so off we went.  Through the big dinosaur and onto the ride, the kids loved this one, it was just like Dumbo! (and we were ahead schedule)

Tried to go on DINOSAUR, closed for technical issues....onto the next thing.... well lets go see if Kali River Rapids is really open (as it wasn't on the schedule, because MBM was informed it was closed)

It was open!  Kali River Rapids (twice for Lola, as we needed a child swap, and DD was still in bed).  Both times we were pretty successful to not get drenched like some other on the raft!  When Lola and AA went, T definitely saw us as we floated down the river from the viewing bridge!  (oh and AA took a business call while in charge of the twinkies, caught in action)

We were going to DINOSAUR, but still closed, then we realized that we should be eating already...  so we had 30 minutes to eat and get to our FassPass reservation to see Finding Nemo - The Musical

The kids did super well eating quickly and Lola got Guacamole!

We made it to Nemo just in time, but AA didn't get to go to the washroom like he wanted.

Next up we went to Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventure Outpost to meet Mickey and Minnie together!

DINOSAUR reopened so Lola and AA jumped in queue. MBM and the Twinkies headed through the Dinosaur walk, on the way they ran into Donald Duck while B was sleeping and then stood in line for Pluto and Goofy.

While in the DINOSAUR ride, Lola and AA experienced some technical difficulties, and the ride stopped in the dark which felt like forever.... like forever, then the lights began to turn on...and finally they made the announcement. "Minor technical difficulties, please stay seated..."  We waited, which felt like forever with no cell service... good thing MBM was doing just great with her kids in the line to see PLUTO!!!

Once we arrived back out of prehistoric time, we found the gang waiting in the line.  Got a few photos (with our photopass) and off to the Maharajah Jungle Walk.  This walk had some interesting animals, but it was warm, so lots of them were not around.

Off to the Kilimanjaro Safaris.  This was the highlight for most.  The animals were amazing!  The twinkies loved all of them so much!  It was amazing how close some of them were to the safari vehicle.   Here are a few of the fantastic shots AA got. (Lola loved the Lions)

T was so overwhelmed by all the animals, once back in the stroller, asleep he went!  So off to the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.  Here we saw the cutest baby gorilla roll down the hill! Oh and a Hippo under water (they can hold their breathe for over 8 minutes).  Can you see it amongst the fish in the second photo?

A little break from the heat and some Dole Whip of course, AA's had a little extra Coconut Rum!  B made sure to get as much as Mommy's as she could, since T was sleeping.  It was refreshing and the sit down in the shade was needed.  The weather has been wonderful by the way.... most days 26 degrees Celius and sunny.  We had one slight shower on one of our days off, but it has been glorious! Only one evening I have felt chilly, but that would be the night I got sick.

Ok back to the day.  We headed to our last FassPass of the day, Festival of the Lion King.  This was an excellent show, Lola loved it, and so did the twinkies.  It was so entertaining, and even a character came over to say hi to T and B!  The songs were great, Lola sang most of the time!

We had supper reservations at 6:50 at Tusker House, we tried to change it to earlier, but only got in a about 15 minutes before, so off we went to  look at the Tree of Life on the Discovery Island Trail.  It is a wonderful tree, with animals all "carved" into it.  Every time you look you see some other animal. It is something you have to see!  We got some group photos in front of it after supper!

Supper as Tusker House was so good, and the curry was excellent!  They were all in house made, so Lola even got to enjoy the authentic food!  And don't forget about the characters, Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. We were lucky to see most of them 2 times during our meal.  It was a good send off to leaving The wonderful World of Disney.  The twinkies loved it too!

Back to the hotel to see the last flu patient, pack and blog.  DD had eaten some food, so that was a good start, but still was looking a little sick.

Lola should really get to bed, as she is tired, and has a day of travel a head of her.  Don't worry she will try and blog on the way (but has to do it on the computer so may not get done until she gets home).

Animal Kingdom was AWESOME, and here are some cute photos we got taken, and the kids did awesome following the characters!

See you next time Disney (and Happy Valentines Day)
