California Adventure is a great park and MBMell and Lola were so excited to show DD Cars Land as well as the new Avengers Campus (which wasn't open last time we were there).
The morning started much better, with AA and Lola going for breakfast and helping the other get ready for the day. We headed to Car Land first where we got in line for Radiator Springs Racers. The line was long and not included in Genie +, but the line was at least moving until we got right to the front.....and the ride shut down. Luckily we were in the shade when we were waiting... The wait was over 60 minutes, but it was so worth it. One of our favorite rides.
Once we did that we headed to Guardians of the Galaxy; Mission: Breakout! T really didn't want to go, but MBMell said it was about music and Rocket. Once we got on the ride, T was making a little bit of a fuss and the cast member asked if he would be ok....little did she know that Lola and MBMell weren't really prepared for it either. Lola opened her eyes maybe 2 times, once to see outside from way up high and the other she saw Chris Pratt. She kept her head on AA's shoulder, and hand on MBMells Leg....
The rest loved it... while Lola didn't enjoy it at all. MBMell wasn't sure but is pretty sure she held the guy besides her hand.
Lola needed a break after that ride, so we had a water and washroom break, as well as got a pretzel. One of B's "to have snacks". Once we recovered a little we headed to the next long line of the day to do the new Spiderman Ride. This ride was super long and mostly in the sun. The ride broke down while we were in the line. We survived, but it was sure close to us not. (the sun was so warm on us).
Once we got on the ride, it was sure a great time. To our surprise Lola, MBMell, and T beat the other car of AA, DD and B. We caught a lot of Spider bots with our webs and had a great time!
Next up we headed to one of our favorite restaurants, Flo's Cafe in Cars Land. The food was just as good as we remembered, we also got a seat inside out of the sun which was great. The kids got to share a milkshake... It didn't take them long to drink it.
Pixar Pier was next, where we hit up one of our favourites, Toy Story Midway Mania. The kids then headed to the Jessie's Critter Carousel where they could go on themselves. They went on it 2 times in a row... and we were surprised B picked the same animal both times!
We headed to see the Spiderman quick show outside at the Avengers Campus. It was pretty neat to see Spiderman Flying through the air!
Next we went on Soarin', Ariels' Undersea Adventure and B, AA, DD went on Grizzly River Run. T didn't want to go because he didn't want to get wet. Lola waited as her and MBMell were going to go on it when the others got back...but when they got into the line.... the ride shut down, so we didn't get to go.
The boys got beer while the other had a cold treat. It was pretty hot, so we found some shade and enjoyed our treat. Next up finally Incredicoaster was back up and running, so we headed back to Pixar Pier. Lola had convinced MBMell that she had to go on this roller coaster. T didn't want to go as he felt like he had done "enough G's for the day". So B, Lola, AA and MBMell headed to the lighting lane. Lola was so proud of MBMell that she did it, but she didn't feel that great after the ride. B loved it. We were disappointed we didn't see the photo from the ride when we got off. DD went on the ride while the rest of us waited.
We headed to Goofy's Sky School after that, but it was closed again.... So the kids went on Jumpin' Jellyfish, while we waited. The ride reopened and we headed on it, (while MBMell sat in the shade to still try and recover for the roller coaster).
We had supper on the wharf, and then headed for a walk through Carsland. We love this area. We tried to go on the Luigi ride....but our curse continued and it was down. The kids went to Maters' Junkyard Jamboree and then we headed to the Dr Strange show. It was pretty neat, kind of like illusion show.
Once the show was over, we headed to find a spot for the World of Color show. It turns out we decided to stand in the same spot that the 4 of us watched the show last time in 2019. The show was incredible, and we all enjoyed it. The lights, sound, water all working together to put on a great show!
After the show was over we headed back through Cars Land and got to ride Luigis ride. It was so much fun to dance in the cars.
We got to see Mater, and get some neat photos throughout the day.
Back at the hotel we had a good evening together, while the kids went to bed.
Sad that tomorrow we have to say goodbye, but we knew it was going to be short.
