AA did a little work, DD showered, and the ladies went glasses shopping once DD got back from taking the kids to school.
We had a great time glasses shopping. The lady helping us, Cheryl was an excellent help, showing us all the options. MBMell had lots once we sat down, but quickly we went through them and eliminated lots to get down to the 2 pairs the insurance pretty much covers. Did the paper work, and then helped ourselves to some tea from the Starbucks machine that the lady offered us.
We went on our way back in the Tesla to get back home to spend the "day" with the boys. We got onto the street, turned the corner at the light, and then the tire pressure gauge showed low pressure, it was dropping quickly so MBMell pulled to the nearest parking lot, and as she got in the parking spot we could tell it was not good.
Getting out of the Tesla, we looked at the drivers back tire, and it was completely flat. Lola texted AA and instantly DD called MBMell to tell us how to call roadside assistance. MBMell was successful, and asked for text message updates. We received one instantly telling us Murphy's Law Roadside assistance it would be there in 24 minutes. DD and AA were already on their way to come to us. MBMell set a timer. We continued to receive text messages about the loaner tire we were going to receive as well as how to make an appointment for service.
The roadside assistance arrived within 12 minutes, before AA and DD arrived. He was very nice and knowledgeable and changed the tire in minutes. He also blew up the old tire, to find the big gas in the tire... we aren't sure how it happened, but happy the service was so great!
DD and AA took the Telsa home and made the girls take the CRV... DD was worried about the alignment, so wanted to make sure it was ok to drive.
A quick stop at home to drop of the CRV and we headed to Top Golf. We ate a great lunch, socialized (finally got to spend a decent amount of time with DD), and played some golf. The girls played for about 1.5 hours, and then walked to do the shopping they were planning on doing yesterday. The boys continued to drink some beer, and enjoy some golf. Once they finished golfing then headed back downstairs to enjoy some more beverages, but AA got ID'ed and realized Lola had his wallet in her purse, so he had to switch to water.
The girl went to 4 stores they wanted to go, and made a few purchases. They walked back to Top Golf a 900m walk, to get the boys, and headed to Whole Foods for a few things, but mainly Maple Ice Cream (that they were supposed to get yesterday). We put the Car seats in the back back of the tesla for the road trip, see how it goes, but it will give a little more leg room for the adults.
Picked up the kids from School and headed home. The evening involved a bit of whining from the kids, but we enjoyed supper together and had a successful bedtime. DD was meeting some old coworkers who were in town this evening, while AA did a little work and then continued to watch the documentaries on the ocean he has been watching for a few nights now. MBMell and Lola are doing some laundry, and hope to hang the disney stuff up.
We need to pack for the next 5 days as we are heading on a road trip to Dallas!
