Disneyland 2019 - Day 6

Well Lola's Long weekend is pretty much over. Sitting in LAX airport waiting to board the plane missing all my peeps.

The other 3 travellers are in a different terminal across this huge airport, while AA is on a plane in Wichita, and DD is at work.

Our night was really short last night, as B had some Night Terrors in the middle of the night.  She didn't want me to touch her (even though I was trying to sleep in the same bed). It lasted a while of hysterical crying, hitting and then eventually we figured out she just wanted to "kick me"  So I got back into be turned my back to her, and she continued to push her feet into my back.  She calmed eventually.  After that she did wake up, sit up, and tell us she was hungry.  I gave her some cheddar bunny's after a discussion about how she didn't want them, and that they have them sometimes after swimming, and on and on.  After I fed her a few (like 10), she drank some water, and went back to bed.  All night (the 3 hours of sleep I got) B had her feet touching me.

This morning she remembers the cheddar bunnies, but nothing else.

We got up to pack our bags this morning and head for our last Disney morning.  We had a character breakfast at Storytellers Cafe.  We met Pluto (T's pup), Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale.  The food was ok, but MbMell wasn't feeling so well, but tried her best to eat some food.  The kids enjoyed the Parade, that they are so used to doing, but didn't get a maraca so B was a little disappointed.

I got an awesome omelette, hashbrowns and fruit made personally by the Chef for me! (no contamination).

After breakfast we headed back to Downtown Disney to do the "gift shop".  The kids did very well picking the 1 clothing item, as well as one toy.  They really didn't have the dilemma like last time, but T did convince B to get a "puppy" that he wanted, because he wanted 2.  We made sure B knew she could make her own choice, but she insisted.

After that, the ladies had their first and only Starbucks of the trip.  At this point MbMell was feeling a little better, which was great, as Lola was concerned about the Bus ride back to the airport as well as the flight.  It was also really cool that there were new Halloween decorations out today.

We made it back to the hotel to finish the packing of the bags, and head to the bus stop for our shuttle pick up.  It was pretty slick that we got picked up right in front of our hotel.

Off to the airport we went.  The kids did really well, playing with their new stuffed friends, and also sticker books.

Lola got dropped off first at Terminal 2, and the other were dropped off at Terminal 4.  Hugs on the bus, and waves good bye.  As Lola was approaching the terminal, she got a text message from Delta saying her gate was moved to Terminal 3....  So a short 4min walk outside (thankfully she hadn't gone through security yet, as that walk would have been 39 minutes) and she arrived at Terminal 3.  As she stopped to look at the map, she was very excited to see Shake Shake as the restaurant.  One of her favorites.  They didn't have the gluten free bun, but the lettuce wrap was amazing.

After eating, she headed to the gate to wait.  As she waited, she texted with MbMell to see status, and things went ok for them.  they got some lunch too, and got on their plane!

They got to their home before Lola got to her connecting airport.  T was sure excited to talk about the Monster Inc Ride with his dad.

Lola had a pretty uneventful flight to MSP, and then met up with AA who was traveling for work at the gate.  He was gracious to get her some McDonalds, as she hadn't eaten supper.  Also Lola texted him to ask if they could get seats together, and so he went and asked and got me a new boarding pass! (also surprised that they would just give it to him, with out me there.)

Exit rows aren't my favorite but the short flight wasn't so bad.  I was just happy to be reunited with AA.  Not sure what AA thought, as Lola chatted his ear off....  Lola watched Lilo and Stitch to get ready for one of the future trips coming up.  Ohana means family, no one gets left behind or forgotten!  She may have shed a few tears during the movie.

AA parked at the airport so easy getting home!

The trip was great, and now back to the real world, well for 2 days till the weekend :)

Thanks for reading, and see what October brings...

Lola.

Disneyland 2019 - Day 5

Our last full day today was busy...

We got up and headed for breakfast at the hotel before venturing to Disneyland Park.  We slept in a little as it was a late night last night.  In the park before 10am was our goal and we made it.

First things first.... we visited Anna and Elsa.  We didn't even have to wait in a very long line. Bonus.

We tired to go to turtle talk with crush, but missed the show time.  We went to see Captain America.  He was pretty cool with his shield.  Then we headed back inline to see Olaf, which involved see Anna and Elsa again.  T didn't want to take photos with the princesses again, but was sure excited to get Olaf's.

Then off to Soarin' Around the World.  It was so exciting that we got to see Soarin' Across California, and to come back a few days later to see the newer one was awesome.  This is one of the fan favorites, and just so cool.

Then we went and saw Pluto by the airplane, a character spot that I really enjoy.  And we had to see Ts "favourite pups".

We were going to get sunscreen on, but then decided to go to the Disney Junior Dance party.  We booked it there since we only had 7 minutes to show time.  Good thing T is getting really good at running.  B had a great time dancing away, and even got to be a hyena on the screen!  T was not as impressed, and really did not enjoy when it snowed inside.

Off to try and make it to turtle Talk with Crush.  We also booked it to the show to have a few minutes to spare.  It was an amazing time, as there were only 4 kids.  B was the first one to be asked any questions and "nailed it".  She got a nick name, Barnacle B, and also told crush that Auntie brought her to Disneyland.... nothing about Mom.  Then Lola had to get on the mic and talk about the kids.  She also got a nick name, Groovy G.  T also talked and asked Crush his favorite colour was.  B also got called again to ask a question, which was "why do seals Arp so much", and then arped a lot to Crush.

After that we sunscreened and headed to Radiator Springs.  It was now decorated for Halloween.  The Radiator Springs Racers ride was still a highlight.  And our car won the race!

We headed for lunch at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill. The food was really good, and the kids were pretty entertained by a little bird eating the food under the tale.  B then began to talk about how she would get a bird feeder from Home Depot and the bird food from HEB (where you buy food.) to be able to attract birds at her house.  T also mentioned that he could ask questions to Grandpa the bird whisperer.  We will see if B remembers to ask DD to go to home depot when they get home.

To visit spiderman we went.  Wow was this an amazing character greeting.   They had a little meeting before T came up in costume.  30 photo pass photos later, and it was amazing.  Spiderman played hide and seek, and copy cat.

We headed back to the hotel to spend the heat of the afternoon inside, as it was pretty hot.  We tried to get the kids to nap, but was unsuccessful.  T was not on his best behaviour, so after some "quiet time" B and Lola went back to the park for some 1 on 1 time, while the others tried to pull themselves together.

While in the park, we went on Goofy's Sky School 3 times in a row, then Jumpin' Jelly Fish and Emotional Whirlwind.  We then met the others at Toy Story Midway Mania.  Just before the ride, we headed to see Buzz. We all got the same animals as we did the last time.

Back to Cars land to do Junk Yard Jamboree and Lugi's  Rollickin' Roadsters.  Headed back to Flo's V8 Cafe for supper, as B really wanted to eat there, and it was easy and right there.  The view from the window we could see the cars racing on Radiator Springs Racers.

After supper, we headed to try and see Black Panther, but there was an error in the app, so he was no longer there.  So we waited around to see Captain Marvel.  While we waited, we went back into the Animation Studio to hopefully see Hawaiian Roller Coaster ride on the big screen and was successful! We then headed back to Monster's Ink Ride and got to see Captain Marvel.

Evening snack of a Turkey leg, and headed to see the World of Colour.  It was so good, both the leg and the show.  We shared the leg, and then watched the show.  Don't worry we didn't finish it before the show started, so carried it back to the hotel for a 10pm snack between the 3 of us.

Oh as we were leaving the park, B made us all shout out loud in the crowds of people "I had a great day".  It was amazing and people really enjoyed it around us.

MbMell and Lola stayed up way too late this evening, just chatting about life, and now should go to bed, in order to get all the tasks done in the morning before catching the shuttle back to the airport.

Till tomorrow, Lola.
