Spring Break - Edmonton - Part 2

We spent a few days in Edmonton in a perfect house with bedrooms for all of us.

We spent the first full day in Edmonton at West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark.  We rented a Family Hammock cabana to be able to keep our stuff as well as have a place to meet.  It was right off the splash pad and family area, it was great to let the kids play while an adult can sit and watch.  We enjoyed the Big Thunder Wave pool a few times as a group of 6.  AA, Lola and J went on majority of the waterslides, with the blue bullet being no ones favorite.

We stopped for lunch.  Lola couldn't eat anything in the water park, so she had to venture out of the pool area to venture into the mall.  The others had burgers and chips by the pool while Lola had Greek fries and chicken.

Met back up to go down the tube waterslide, when we got into line the nice man that was working told us that they were closing down the wave pool and waterslides attached to the same water as someone had an accident in the wave pool.  We watched the poor guy wade through the water to get all the "chunks".  We eventually got to go on the tube waterslide (3 to a tube) about 1 hour later once they opened it up again.

Nessie's Revenge was Lola's favorite!  You even got some air as you went down.  We also waited a very long time to go on the slide-boarding waterslide (that had a tube), which was also a good time, but not worth the wait.

A also lost her tooth while we were at the waterpark.  It was so loose that she came to E to ask him to pull it out.  She was pretty scared, but it was so loose it just came out quickly.

We all had a good time and stayed till closing time. L forgot to wear a shirt over her bathing suit, luckily Lola had an extra.

Once back at the house Lola made supper with some assistance where we did a science experiment about whether avocado peels float.  That evening the adults finished watching Yellowstone Part 1 of Season 5!

The next day we headed to the mall after having brunch at the house.  We did some shopping, checked out the sites of the mall, played mini golf, and AA, Lola and E went on the electric go carts. We had a good day.

Once we got back to the house to find out that our friends dog who was staying at "grandma and grandpas" was not doing well.  The evening turned for the worse, and we cancelled our dinner plans with a former coworker/friend, and AA ordered pizza.   It was a very sad evening, but glad we could be there for them, even though they had to put their dear Maggie down over facetime.

We watched the original Mighty Ducks Movie after the kids went to bed, as we watched the 1st season of Might Ducks; Game Changers while we were in Edmonton.

The next day we all packed up and our friends left early in the morning to drive home.  We said our goodbyes.  AA and Lola later packed up and headed to the mall to kill some time before heading to the airport to catch their flight. We played glow in the dark mini golf and had lunch in the food court.

Our flight was pretty uneventful as we puddle jumped from Edmonton to Saskatoon to Winnipeg.  Once arriving in Winnipeg, we got our suitcase, but our Snowboard bags never arrived. We waited for a long time to see if they would come out of the over sized baggage. It never came out so we headed to the westjet office where we waited for along time for the guys computer to boot up.  Finally we made a claim and Lola's Coworker took them home.

It took a few days to get our boards back, but we finally got them!

The trip was great although it had a sad end.

RIP Maggie.
