November 17th, 2023.
We headed to the airport around 1pm, to find a long wait to check our bags. Luckily we got to use the priorty line as people were waiting over an hour just to scan their bags that already had a bag tag. We got through security with no problem and headed for some Starbucks.
While we were waiting for our flight, our friends left their home and headed on their plane to meet up in Oahu, to arrive just an hour before us. Lola and AA saw 3 people they knew at the airport. What a small world.
The flights were pretty uneventful from Winnipeg to Vancouver and Vancouver to Oahu. We did upgrade ourselves to Premium on the second leg, which was super nice to have a lot more space.
Once we arrived, our friends were waiting for us which was super nice. AA went to get the rental van while Lola got the bags. We headed to the Condo we rented and we were all sleeping by midnight Hawaii time. The kids don't really remember being in Hawaii, as the last time was in 2019.
The Hawaiian air was so wonderful, and can't wait to see the view in the morning.
