#WDW2017 - Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios has a different feel than the other parks we had been to, but it sure does remind you of actual Hollywood.  The Chinese Theater, Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard and of course the all the people.

It seemed we had a rough morning, MBM, Devin and AA were exhausted, the the Twinkies wouldn't eat their breakfast.  We got on the "school bus" and headed to the park, a little later than we had hoped to leave, but we were on our way.  We get to the park and through security, and gate, to actually wait a few minutes before the "rope" drop and we can race to the land of Pixar. good job team!

Once arriving at the Toy Story Midway Mania! we weaved around through the cool entrance filled with toys, games and books from the movie.  As we get closer to the ride, turner coughed a little deeper than we had normally heard, then all of a sudden he threw up in line... He seemed a little frazzled at first, then continued his normal toddler life.  Lola, AA and B went to go find someone to help clean it up, then once reunited with the rest of the group we headed onto the ride... and now more throwing up.

We had been on a Toy story ride the day previously, the concept was the same, shoot as many things as you can, but this time we were wearing 3D glasses.  It was very neat, and I was very competitive against AA.  He got a higher score, but I almost 10% higher in accuracy.  It was a great ride.

The day continued, and T didn't show any more signs of distress.  Although the twin life did... B seemed to be a little off, and she was quite warm.  So we let her sleep most of the day, either being held or in the stroller.  Next up were rides for the adults, which MBM decided she didn't need to go on again since she went with Devin last time they were here and her stomach wasn't the greatest.  So off D, AA and Lola went to Rockin' Roller Coaster.  Lola was pretty axnious about going on it, but loves roller coasters.  It was so fast getting up to 60mph, and all indoors.  It was a great ride can you tell? Could I grab onto the handles any tighter?

Next up Devin convinced Lola she had to go on tower of terror.  She was even more anxious about that.  But everyone one was telling her back home that she had to go, so she went.  It wasn't as bad as I had thought, but it sure made me scream....  Am I still having fun? (can you find us?)

We were right on schedule after that point.  Which was crazy, we previously changed around where we were eating because of time constraints in our schedule, and today was the day we had to try and keep on schedule.  Following the "adult" time, we headed to a character breakfast buffet at Hollywood and Vine. We sure like the Disney buffets.  It was characters from Disney Junior Channel, which the Twinkies only knew of Mickey Mouse Club House, but those characters came at lunch or dinner.  But soon, T would fall in love with the Pirate, named Jack.  "pirate come back... pirate come back" is what he said every time Jack left, but he kept coming back, it was either 3 or 4 times we lost count.  This was a good meal, but most of us weren't feeling that well to eat, especially B.  She barely ate anything, but we were all hoping for the best!  Lola was very happy to get gluten, corn and dairy free mickey shaped waffles, and maple syrup. Here are some photos from our lunch. (which was actually breakfast).

Following lunch the ladies took the kids, and D and AA went to go move our stuff to our new hotel. Today was our last day staying at Disney resort.  Devin also had a business call he had to take so it wall worked out great.  The boys left and we took the Twinkies to 2 shows, For the first time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-along celebration and Voyage of the Little Mermaid.  But before the shows, T had a blow out, that required a shorts change, and we went and met Olaf since we had sometime before our fastpass reservation. T loved the snowman. B just slept on me.

The shows were good, I was hoping that the frozen one was more "live" action but we mostly sang along to the movie.  The end was fabulous where they sang "let it go again" and it snowed!

T really liked the snow, but only got video so can't post on the blog.  Voyage of the little mermaid was very good.  B slept through the entire thing, but T sang to the songs he knew "Under the sea".  B slept so hard that she was snoring, but it was great for her to sleep in hopes of feeling a little bit better.

During this show we got rained on 2 times and bubbles too! The adults really enjoyed it too. The boys made it back to the park (after shuttling to the resort, getting luggage, D taking his call, Packing the van, checking out, going to the other hotel, dropping off some luggage, as the room wasn't ready, going back to the resort hotel, shuttling back to Hollywood studios and meeting up with us again). Almost forgot they brought he all important  Tylenol for B to help with the slight fever she had. The ladies and kiddos skipped the Muppets 3D on the schedule and headed to Disney Junior Live on Stage.  This was a hit with the kids, especially when Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy.  Don't forget about Oh Toodles he helped us make a surprise party for Minnie Mouse.  The hardest part was for the adults to sitting on the floor.

The boys enjoyed the star wars area during this time. They enjoyed it, especially looking at the expensive things you could purchase in the store for  thousands of dollars (american dollars).

We meet back to have a snack, while the Twinkies slept. MBM decided she didn't want to go on the Star Tours: The Adventure Continues.  Motion simulator in 3D which was excellent. They changed the video since the last time D had seen it, which he thought was much better.  It was a highlight of the day.

The twinkies were awake when we got back to MBM, so we took them to see Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage while the boys hung out again (having a beer, which we found out about later) in the shade.  Beauty and the Beast B really enjoyed, while T should have stayed with the boys.  It was pretty good, but not as good as I thought it could have been.

We walked all the way to where the boys were to catch the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!.  Lola didn't enjoy this very much, so she just cuddled with sleeping B and the rest really enjoyed it.  Lots of fire, explosions and fighting stunts.

For a quick supper before our Fantasmic!adventure.  Supper wasn't that great, as Lola was hungry and they contaminated the "allergy" fryer, so she only got a hamburger patties and apple slices.  At least B started to eat a little. We ate at the Backlot Express.  Off to Fantasmic! where we waiting in a large crowd for over 30 minutes to see the show.  Lola was the only one that enjoyed the show, although T told us about all the characters he saw after the show was over.  We were disappointed that we didn't get the see the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular because it took us so long to get out of the show, AA thinks there was over 5200 people in the theater for the show.  My favorite part were the princesses and Mickey Mouse of course.  The villain part was a little long.

So i can't remember if we talked about our meal plan we had, but it was ending today.  We had 18 snack credits left yesterday and we had 5 table service and 4 quick service.  In the morning we went and got food including danish, smoothies and yogurt. Using 6 snack credits.  Then the snacks in the afternoon we used some too. We used 4 table service for lunch today, and then downgraded one of the table service for supper so we had 5 meals..... by the end of the night we had 4 snack credits left, one for each of the adults.  AA chose a mickey ice cream, MBM had carrot cake cookie, and D had a Goofy Glacier Blue Raspberry Slushie.  Lola waited to use hers back at the hotel.

We left the park and went on our last "School" bus ride to the resort to get my smoothie (dairy free)  and then we headed to the Van, to get to our other hotel.  The ride was full of talking from B and T and we had a great time.

Once at the hotel the Twinkies explored we gave them a bath and to bed.  MBM and I did 2 loads of laundry because of the blow out we had this morning. and we decided what we were doing for the next 5 days.  Lets slow down a little, we are on vacation.  So tomorrow is a day off.  Lets do some eating, shopping and sleeping and planning for the days at universal.

Lola.
