Travel day - complete

We made it!  After being escorted into the Orlando airport by fire trucks... Not to worry, everything was ok. Apparently there was a smell, that smell of something is hot, in the aft galley during our approach. So we got a priority landing and got in on time, unharmed. Looking back on the descent, it all makes sense as to why we were making 45 degree banks to come in...

The flight was routine, Lola read her book and watched beauty and the beast while AA finished off some work.

Once in Orlando, we made our way to find some food. We decided on a Mexican restaurant that was near our gate so that we could meet up with MB Mell and family and help them make their way to get their baggage.

The Fab Four arrived ahead of schedule and we made our way to get the luggage. And new bums...

Waiting for the gang

With luggage in hand and on back, we attempted to find the Magical Express - Disney's shuttle service to their hotels. AA saw a sign that said to go to the third floor, which we did. AA new that we had to make our way to the B terminal and identified the sign that showed the direction. No one believed him. So we went down to the first floor because we knew we had to make our way to level 1 of the B terminal. Once on the first floor, we walked to the left. And walked. And walked. No signs pointed to the magical express.  So back into the elevator. Unfortunately this elevator didn't want to go to the third floor. So out we went and walked some more to another elevator. This one went to the third level. We navigated our way to the signs that said "B terminal this way". We made our way to the B terminal. Then down to level one and finally found our way to the magical express. AA was grinning the whole way - he knew he was right even though everyone else thought you had to go to the first level and somehow try to make your way through the parking garage that was between the A and B terminals.

We loaded up on the bus and made our way to the resort on the highway that Disney built from the airport. Because the freeway was built by Disney, they mandated that there be no billboards along the highway - Disney did not want anyone else advertising along "their highway". It was quite nice to not be constantly distracted with advertisements.

Now at the hotel, we gathered up our bags and got checked in. Rugrat 1 and Rugrat 2 were starting to get antsy after being couped up on a plane and in a stroller all day. With our wristbands we were now armed and ready to get into the hotel room. Once inside, RR1 and RR2 were in full-on explore mode checking out both bathrooms, the bedroom and testing out each chair to see where Missy and Baby Bears spots are. I think they found them.

After waiting about 30 mins, we got our groceries delivered the MBMell had delivered to the hotel. Then about an hour later AA and Lola's bags were finally delivered after making their own journey from the airport to the hotel using Disney's complimentary baggage services.

With RR1 and RR2 in bed and beers on ice, the elders were able to relax and figure out the plan for tomorrow. It sounds like it will be an early start to see the Magic Kingdom, we shall see how this goes tomorrow...
