Hawaii 2019 - Day 4

This morning we got up earlier for breakfast to try and beat the rush.... turns out that the rush was at a different time this morning, we still had to wait but not as long. All the adults got omelets and AA had to try the Miso soup this morning.  He agreed with DD that it was pretty fantastic.  The kids were pretty proud to get their donuts this morning!

After breakfast we headed to the van to get to the cinema that was just a few minutes away.  We got there a little early so we walked around the shops before it opened at 10:30 am.

We did a little shopping, and the kids did a little whining as they can't have everything in the stores, but eventually MBM and Lola got a few things they wanted.  Oh and DD got some batteries.  The Queens market where we were was all decorated for Christmas with Trees, train and a gingerbread house.

We got out tickets picked up some drinks (Lola got a great RootBeer made at Kona Brewing), went to the washroom and then headed into the movie.  Yes we were seeing Frozen II as it just came out on Friday!.  The kids were great through the movie.  3 out of the 4 adults really enjoyed the movie, the other adult didn't.  But MBM says sometimes he changes his mind and it is ok that DD didn't like it.

After the movie we headed back to the hotel for a snack of left over pizza and some napping.  MBM, DD, T and B napped, while AA and Lola went to the adult only pool. They went there for only about 40 minutes, as Lola wanted to go to Yoga.  She packed her bag, and headed for the long and brisk walk across the resort.  She made it in time, but the room was almost full.  She barely got a spot, she would have been pretty upset if she didn't get to go in, after she was so sweaty from the walk.  The class was Restorative Yoga.  She has never done a class like this before, but it was really good. It really focused on breathing and being present in the moment and not thinking about anything thing else.  She almost fell asleep 3 times which is good, means she was super relaxed.

After yoga, she met the gang at the Lagoon grill for supper.  It is right near the dolphin quest, which the kids were excited to watch them for a while.  We got great appetizers, meals were good, and the drinks were pretty good too.  DD even tried a Lava Flow.  He said it wasn't terrible.... but not sure he really enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed the Gravy, cheesy Fries (or as we call id Poutine), as well as the strawberry icecream sunday for dessert!

After supper we headed for a little walk to look at all the lite up statues.  B insisted we took photos of all of them, but the lighting wasn't very good for photos on our phones, so maybe we will go back another day during the light.

Off to bed we went.  Well DD and MBM put their kids to bed, and DD fell asleep.  It was around 9pm when they finally all settled, and by that time Lola and AA finished playing some mario cart, and were ready for bed themselves.

Not sure what MBM and DD did in the evening, but AA and Lola went to bed.  The boys are going golfing in the morning, so they have to be up earlier than normal.

We will see what tomorrow brings!

Lola.

ps.  The weather has been wonderful so far, 30 degrees at its peak, and the winds have been calm.
