Well this post is a day late, because yesterday was a very late day. We didn't get back to the hotel till after 12am....
We had a later morning, as we knew we had extended magic hours at Epcot in the evening (open till 11 pm), so we hung out at the hotel until we had to make it to Epcot for our lunch reservation at 11:30am.
The kids enjoyed the quiet time, colouring, and Lola let them have a bath in the jet tub!
We headed to the park with no issues, making it on the bus and not late for our reservation. We headed to Garden Grill, in "the land" a revolving restaurant that goes though living with the land. Our server was so good, telling us facts about the stuff in the ride as we past by.
The kids loved the characters that came by, Mickey even scared Lola as he snuck up to our table. But we also saw Pluto, Chip and Dale. The food was amazing with Family style Turkey, Beef, potatoes, beans, stuffing and Short Cake for dessert, oh don't forget about the bonus cookies!
Since we saw the ride from the restaurant we had to go on Living with the Land again to see where we just were. Everyone seemed to enjoy it again.
Next up was The seas with Nemo and Friends followed by a journey in the aquarium and Turtle Talk with Crush. The kids loved the aquarium and the adults love Turtle Talk. At the aquarium we saw Ray's getting fed oysters on a metal pan with scuba divers, also a cool Frog Fish that camouflaged into the coral. The kids asked a lots of questions, and the tanks were pretty neat. Don't forget about the Eels, they were still talking to B and T was remembering seeing one in the wild in Hawaii....
We ended up taking the Sky-liner from Epcot to the Riviera Resort, just to try it out between United Kingdom and France. The ride was so smooth, and even took corners. The kids were super pumped to watch all the characters pass on the other sky-liner cars. Once we got off at the Riviera, we had to get of and walk to the other side. Pleasantly surprised to see Donald, Goofy and Pluto in their 50th attire. We lucked out there!
Back on the sky-liner we got back to Epcot to continue around the world. We made some stops to talk photos, have a pretzel, get buttons, use the washroom, and meet Anna and Elsa. The kids got their prize postcard for finishing the hunt and weren't too happy about it, as they thought it was way too much work.... but it they did have fun on the journey.
We headed for Supper to Space 220 (a surprise for DD). He was so excited, as you go up to 220 ft above the earth to have supper, using an elevator to get there, earth, astronauts and dogs out the windows and awesome food and drink! We had a great time! The atmosphere was so cool.
Once supper was completed, AA and DD tried to hit the other 4 places they missed in the world show case while Lola, MBM and the kids headed to Imagination with Figment (T's favorite ride). We got the whole ride to ourselves and made it before it closed!
Next up was Extra Magic Hours (only for certain hotel guests, but we were one of them). We got to go on rides between 9-11 that others couldn't. We had done a lot of research and this was the way to go. Disappointed Test track was not working, but we did Soarin' Around the World, Gran Fiesta, Frozen Ever After and Remy in the 2 hours (including walking). the lines were much shorter than earlier in the day. Some we walked right on, but the bigger rides we had to wait about 30 minutes.
By 11, the kids and adults were exhausted. We headed to the bus with the rest of our hotel occupants, and then had to wait for a bus. The line was very long, and we had to wait for the second bus to fit on. The kids were exhausted, and we tried to keep them awake on the bus. Once back at our hotel, we still had a walk from the bus Stop. T was so tired, that he decided to run... Lola went with him, running all the way back as he didn't want to stop until he was in his bed. Who doesn't need a work out at 12 am in the morning. Everyone got to bed and we all slept pretty hard!
We had a great day!
