Day 1 continues (a little change from when it began)

Zip lining was a great start to our morning (the 3 of us). Climb works was an awesome experience with great instructors and exceptional views.  We did 8 lines and 3 swinging bridges.  All the lines were double so we took turns going with one another, actually come to think of it Lola always went with AA or Melissa, but she got some great photos ;). There were not only zip lines but also some extra adventures to get to the zip lines, these included taking a step off the platform to lower yourself down to the other level with belay, as well as lifting yourself up with a pulley system with only your arms.  I felt like I was in the biggest loser in one of the challenges, but the only prize was getting to the top and continuing. Lola was very tired and needed a breather when at the top. Mell and AA were doing just fine.  We also met a couple that was not only from Canada, but Manitoba, and lives in Winnipeg but was originally from Gladstone and the Pas.  What a small world that 5 out of the 10 in our group were from Manitoba. The tour was quick, only just over 2 hours, which we were told was fast and it was because we had a fit group!

The farm we were zipping on had 11 leasee and a variety of plants being grown. Basil, Apple-bananas, tomatoes, some kind of curry plant that they use for soup and squash to name a few.  It was a really neat farm, where we didn't see any machinery but only manual labour.

Here are a few photos of us.

We made it to the end!!!

After zip lining we made our way back to the house to see how Devin survived juggling business meeting and the twins.  We were shocked to come home to this...
T and B were not only happy and awake, but they were outside with Devin. We expected to find the twins playing inside with Devin on his laptop, but no, and very proud.  Devin also took his runners off and switched to sandals as well as lost the hoodie!

After we ate lunch consisting of omelettes and toast (some where scrambles as the frying pans weren't great), we headed to Turtle Bay, to drop off the happy couple who deserve a massage and for Aa and Lola to take the twins for a walk around the resort.
Dropped them off.
And twins went exploring with great babysitters!
Family photo as everyone thought they were our kids.

We started on our hike, to get about half way there to get a phone call that the massage was not booked properly on the spas end and so they were done. We went back got the carriers and adventured back onto the sandy trails to get to Pill Box point where AA wanted to get some photos.
We made it!
The loop took us to a large banyon tree that was crazy big. It was so big it was hard to tell where the main trunk was and what grew from where.

The beach was also pretty nice and calm compared to the huge waves just a few hundred feet out.
Huge waves (attempt at family photo, but missed B completely and only got T's leg)

We made our way back, where we thought we were going to lose Mell and Devin as the sleeping babies were getting heavy on their backs. On our way we walked through some trees which Lola really liked.

We made to the car and to get some food we go.  AA had done his research and another little roadside restaurant we went.
The food was excellent, proven by these photos.

We even had a visitor who loved the twins and their food that was dropped. It was very distracting for them as well.

Back to our wonderful house to spend the evening, watching kids play, giving baths and drinking beer.  The boys hadn't had any alcohol since we got here so it was long over due. Boys went outside to enjoy their beverages while Mell and Lola stayed inside to look after the kids.

It was a great day. Oh yeah except for when Mell and I turned our backs on the ocean.  From the yard of our house there is a sea wall with steps.  We decided to venture out there to put our feet in the water.  We get Down on the slippery rocks, where the crabs wondered around to turn around to take a selfie. And this is the photo Mell caught of me, as I feared that I would be taken under the waves and never seen again.  Remember kids, never turn your back to the ocean.

Time for bed, and hope my pjs are dry from this mishap above, Mells weren't.

Ready for day 2!
