This morning Lola and AA, could "sleep in" as the only thing they had to do is get some breakfast before 10am. They got up and went for breakfast around 9 am, breakfast buffet. Lola was pretty excited for the fried eggs, and rice. There was a gluten free section (with some not so good buns in packages and nuts), She didn't participate. But breakfast pretty good.
We headed back to the hotel room, to wait for their friends to land. Tracking their friends plane as it was going to arrive just after 10am. Watching the planes from their room was pretty exciting, they could also see the Eiffel Tower from the room, but obstructed by the building and very tiny.
Once they saw their plane land (and got video and photos), they headed to the terminal to find them, as they weren't sure they would be able to get to the hotel from the terminal.
the Eiffel Tower.... |
Luckily Lola had told them how to get their phones connected, and they were able to figure out how to find each other. They came out of the arrivals, and were overwhelmed with all the signs for other drivers, but finally saw the tiny sign that AA made that said "TEXAS FRIENDS". They appreciated it.
They were pretty wrecked from the flight over, but were in great spirits, and happy to see their friends. AA guided everyone back to the hotel where they got a late checkout. We did pretty good except for MBMell didn't quite get onto the train to the terminal transfer like she was supposed to (The kids were a little slow getting into the door), so we signalled where she was supposed to go, and DD texted her to make sure, she eventually made it to Terminal 3. Reunited, they headed to the hotel to take a load off.
Once we hung out in the room for a while together, reuniting and hearing the stories about their travels, and how nice their Air France plane was. AA was a little jealous of the airplane, and how you could see a video out the plane on the way there and during landing.
Lost one already... |
they made themselves at home in our bed. |
The group packed up their bags, and headed to the hotel restaurant.
Lunch was 5 french onion soups, 1 hamburger, devilled eggs and a lot of bread. T had a hard time eating it, but had a lot of carbs.
They were supposed to be able to take a train to the AirBB but of course big signs saying it was closed this Sunday, AA found us a 6 seater van that would take our luggage through Uber. It was pretty good, but interesting as the middle row of seats were backwards.
DD slept the whole time, and the rest of us looked out the window, and tried to keep each other awake. At the 15 minute mark of 30 minutes, Lola was a little worried h was going to vomit on her, but he pulled through just saying he was jet legged, but Lola was proud of him because he slept on the plane for about 5 hours. MBMell even stayed awake, which is impressive.
We made it to the AirBB, AA had all the instructions, and we explored the 4 different floors. Lola let MBMell and DD have a nap, while AA did a little work, and the kids watched a show on the ipad (B has been talking the whole time how she couldn't watch this one show, so Lola had to let it happen). There was something wrong with the downloaded show, so she connected to the wifi, and got it all working. B was very excited. Lola also did 2 loads of laundry.

Waking up MBMell was a chore, but was successful eventually. We headed about 400m walking to the grocery store to get some breakfast food and beverages.
We brought them back and then headed for some food down the street. They pulled a guy out of the back who spoke a little english to service us. The food was pretty good, T's burger was huge, and B enjoyed her pizza. DD and Lola had so much chicken and AA had some beef. It was food that filled their stomaches and then they headed back to their place to go to bed... well the kids and MBMell. They did pretty good and made it to about 8:00pm.

DD, AA, and Lola hung out in the courtyard patio area and planned a few days, including booking the Eiffel Tower and Louve.
DD went to bed next. Lola and AA finished their laundry and now AA is down for the count. Lola is still blogging the night away, but it is only 11pm (and the Jets game is just about to start, too bad she can't watch). Lola was happy to give her feet a rest and only walk about 9000 feet today rather than 25000.
AA trying to see if he could wear T's Sweater... not quire. |
Hopefully everyone can sleep through the night and hopefully participate tomorrow!. Very happy no one puked.
Till Tomorrow, Lola.
