Texas - German style

Well this morning we got up earlier to get ready for our adventure.  The ladies packed before the twinkies woke up.  Once awake, stickers were received as they stayed in their beds before bed, as well as in the morning (we think they were tired).

After stickers, kids got dressed, brushed teeth and headed to eat.  T wasn't happy about going on an adventure, and B realized that we were going to a pool, by what was packed at the door!  To get T to sit in the highchair, Uncle AA was called!  We had a great chat!  The twinkies were sure excited!

After we finished packing we headed "on the road".... again (T sang the song a lot in the car).  Lola sat in the middle between the twinkies!  We had good conversations and fun on the way.

Hitting some bad traffic in Austin, to find out it was military heading to Houston area with supplies.  One of the trucks had hundreds of bottles of water.

We had a good ride and first stop was at Buck-ees.  Made T's day to go there again!

We found snacks!
The beaver was cool, but hot since it was metal in the elements of Texas!

Just a short drive to where the real adventure began at Schlitterbahn, the World's best Waterpark!  DD reserved a room at the resort the night before and we made our way there.  Arriving at the checkin counter, we had to wait till 1 to get into the hotel room.  So for lunch we went just before noon to be back to start our German Adventure as soon as we could!

We had  a great meal of Denny's!  The food was good (well Lola wanted extra pickles and got none, and asked for no cheese or bun on her burger, and received cheese on the burger), but after the second meal she got, it was all very good, and MBMell and twinkies helped eat some of the extra burger with cheese we had at the table!

We arrived back at the resort to get our swimming apparel on and head to the Schlitterbahn.  (which the twinkies can say better than the ladies... ha ha).

We explored the West side for well over 3 hrs.  There were lots of kid areas that allowed the twinkies to be a little independent while still having 3 adults watching them.  Favorites were the frog slide, turtle slide and the river oh and don't forget about the kid carwash!  Lola didn't bring her water camera so we don't have any.  We had a great time.  Back at the room we got ready for a short nap just after having a snack.

Adults hung around.  After a short nap, we headed to the pool just outside our door of the hotel "Gator pool".  It was a struggle to put their cold swim diapers back on, but they got over it quickly when we got out to the pool!

Twinkies and DD had fun, but the ladies stayed on the sidelines as the temperature had cooled down and it was some good kid and daddy time!

Photo bomb B, while waiting for DD to get out of the shower.....

After we got dressed we headed to Montana Mikes for supper.  The kids were a little tired from the day and the adults were hungry.  It was a decent meal, and we did well.

A quick stop at Texas's Favorite grocery store for some breakfast food for the ladies in the morning.

Then to bed for the twinkies, and soon for the adults.  We have another busy day of German adventure, as with the resort room, we get 2 days of Schlitterbahn passes!

Later, Lola
