Scotland - 2026 - Day 1 (Sept 18, 2026)

Well we are heading on our next adventure across the pond. After a morning of working (mostly AA), we headed to the airport just around 12:30 pm (it was raining). Called an uber to take us, we are pretty proud at how light we packed.  One checked and one carry on suitcase.

At the airport, we zoomed through security, and headed to get some Freshii (Lola was starving).  After waiting a while in that line, we finally got to order and our food.  We ate at gate 6 then headed to the lounge for some beverages.

AA had a caesar while Lola had cranberry juice.  As we were waiting, Lola noticed that their friend was on the flight coming back from Calgary.  Texted and met her to say hi before she left for home, and we boarded the plane she just got off of.

The flight to Calgary was uneventful except for waiting in Winnipeg because of a "flow issue" in Calgary. We had lots of time between our connection so we weren't worried.  AA was successful in staying awake.  Once in Calgary we went to the lounge to get some food before heading to our gate.  At the gate we walked right to the jet bridge, but was stopped as they had door problems.  We waited on the jet bridge for a while, before finally boarding the plane.

We got boarded and got comfortable for our 7 hour and 17 minute flight.
