Japan 2024 - Tokyo Disney Seas - Going home (June 11)

We had our last breakfast together before packing up our bags to be held to go the park for the last time before heading on our flight.  Packing usually an adventure, going through and making lists of what we all spent, and making sure we know where everything is packed. Back on the monorail to DisneySeas.  T wanted to make sure we took a photo with the globe! This was a much more relaxed morning, arriving at the park at about 9:30 am.

T decided he wanted to try Journey to the Center of the Earth – and we had a priority pass, so away we went.  He was a little nervous, but handled it like a champ, and happy to have a chance to do it before we left, but said he wouldn’t do it again. A short wait so we decided to try 20,000 leagues under the sea again.  We made it to the end of the ride!

There wasn’t anything short that we really wanted to do, so we decided to go explore the Triton’s Kingdom.   DD and Lola were expecting a little photo op with Triton, but this was a huge indoor area, with carnival rides, play area.  We explode around before it was time to leave each other.  Lola and AA walked the rest to the exit, where we said our goodbyes and took our last selfie together (ride review of leaving isn’t easy, DD was ok with going home).

While the others went back to get their bags and head back on the bus to the airport, AA and Lola had a bite more time, so they headed into the store next to the exit, where Lola found the Anna ears she should have bought in Fantasy Springs, but didn’t. She also bought some “decorations” for her Vacation Package bag.

We explore Italy were we hadn’t really been and got some more “free” drinks at the New York Delicatessen.  We then continued into America where we say Mickey and Minnie dancing with all their friends.

All trip, T was disgusted by Duffy, and how everything was Duffy, so Lola and AA decided to go get a photo with one of the characters.  Also purchased a few items for our nephews and a little decoration for themselves.  We met Daisy Mae, it was fun!

We headed back to Yucatan Base Camp Grill as Lola only really enjoyed that meal, AA ordered the chicken nuggets as the kids enjoyed their so much the day before.  We also got drinks for lunch and a drink for later, since they were free.

Last stop at Disney Seas before going to get our bags and heading to the airport was to get a photo with Donald Duck. They are very persistent that you only get 1 photo with Donald.  He was so interactive with us…. The lady took 15 photos of us.  Especially after Lola wished him a happy birthday (as it was only a few days before).  He was very happy to give us hugs and kisses.

We were sad to leave, but headed back on the monorail at about 1:30 to catch get bags and head on the bus back to the airport.  And of course AA fell asleep on the bus.  Lola was too busy looking out the window.

At the airport they did some shopping, and made sure to stop at the 7-11 in the airport to stock up on some of the fan favorites for the flight home. We boarded and left around 6:38pm, Lola eating her sushi and AA having his cutlet sandwich.  We also got meals on the plane, but not quite the same as the Japanese food we had been enjoying. The goal of this flight was to try and sleep.  Lola did pretty good sleeping about 5 hours and joying the meals, and playing Mickey Mouse game on the screen.

We arrived back at home through Calgary at just before 6pm on the same day.  Leaving at about the same time as we arrived, is a crazy feeling.

The other family arrived back home safely.

We had an amazing time, and some of us can’t wait to go back to explore more of the Japanese culture and enjoy the food and sites.

(sorry this post is also 4 months late)
