This morning 3 of us went to Madera's Golf Club to enjoy a morning of Golf. We lost a few balls, or a lot, and were not used to all the hills. The houses along the perimeter were beautiful. The sun was shinning and the clubs were swinging. Our tee time was at 8, so we got there when there was still dew on the ground, but by the early afternoon, the weather was wonderful.
We played 9 holes "regular" and then best ball for the back nine. There were some holes that were blind, and pretty neat that the golf cart showed you where the group ahead of us carts were to so you don't hit them. Too bad the group behind us didn't understand how that work, as Lola actually got hit by a golf ball in the butt as they were driving to a hole.
After the round, we got greeted by wonderful employees with a warm cloth to wash our face and hands, and offering of a drink and some nuts. We browsed the gift shop, Lola and E both got a hat, and then we headed back to the house to check on the other three ladies.
They had lunch ready for us when we got there, that we enjoyed outside in the backyard at our rental house. There was cake too!
Once lunch was eaten we headed to La Jolla to check out the seals at Children's Pool. We watched a baby and its mom for a long time try to get to shore. The waves were pretty big and the views were amazing.
We walked around a little, and then headed back to the van to head to a beach we could put our toes in. Once at La Jolla Shores Beach. The water was so cold, but wow did the kids enjoy the water and the waves. We collected sea shells, and just enjoyed the outside.
We went to dinner at Coasterra, with views of the San Diego Harbor and Coronada Bridge. The food was excellent. Lola and E both has the scallops that were so good. E also got another birthday dessert! Lola also got a chai coconut pudding which was excellent.
Back at the house, kids went to bed, and adults partied in the hot tub, and then played some video games before bed.
